HEALTH INSURANCE AWARDS - THE RESULTS IN FULL

Around 800 people attended the Health Insurance Awards 2009 in October, celebrating the achievements of both insurers and intermediaries in style.

A number of awards were handed out at a glittering ceremony, held at the Grosvenor House on Park Lane in London's West End.

Celebrity comic Jason Manford entertained the crowd with a fantastic routine and handed out a number of awards with the help of Health Insurance editor David Sawers and the event sponsors.

Bupa was awarded the Health Insurance Company of the Year Award.

Meanwhile, the Health Insurance Company Intermediary of the Year Award was won, for the third time, by the Jelf Group. Jack Briggs, sales & marketing director of headline sponsor Simplyhealth, made the presentation.

Peter Le Beau's contribution to the insurance industry was recognised with the Health Insurance Personality of the Year Award, after receiving the MBE from Her Majesty the Queen earlier this year.
