MorganAsh launches online booking for tele-interviews

17 June 2009 Breaking News

An online booking system will enable advisers and their clients to book their tele-interview appointments immediately, MorganAsh has announced.

The tele-interview provider, which works with several major insurers including Aegon, Bupa, Friends Provident, Canada Life and Aviva, has developed an online calendar divided into 30 minute slots.

Andrew Gething, managing director of MorganAsh, said: "We listened to the requirements of advisers, and built our systems to provide a service that was flexible, and provides a superior consumer experience, and we manage our resources to meet the consumer demands. This is in stark contrast to others who build systems around minimizing costs and fixed resources that can not flex to meet these consumer behaviors."

Gething is currently calling on all insurers to publish non-disclosure figures, which he claims will help advisers to compare the likelihood of payment of claims. MorganAsh figures, collected across several providers, indicate that material non-disclosure following a full nurse tele-interview is 1.7% for life and critical illness products and 5.8% for income protection, compared to 18% and 34% respectively for the same providers when application forms or on-line systems are used.
