John Bugos will take over from Jim Petkas
HCA International Limited has appointed John Bugos as its new chief financial officer.
Bugos (pictured), who is currently director of strategy and planning at the firm, will take over from Jim Petkas with effect from July 1.
Petkas is retiring after 20 years with HCA and will return to the US in September after a handover period with Bugos.
In his new role, Bugos will be responsible for the financial operations of HCA's six hospitals, its four joint ventures with the NHS in London and Manchester and its ten diagnostic and outpatient centres around London.
Michael Neeb, president and chief executive officer of HCA International, said: “Jim’s keen insight and financial acumen have been instrumental in the success and expansion of the group over the past five years. We will miss Jim and his many contributions to the company, and wish him the very best as he relocates back to the US.”
He added: "Meanwhile John is a proven member of our international team, with eight years experience in the UK healthcare market.
“He brings a wealth of talent and experience to support HCA International’s continued growth.”
