First time the company has recruited school leavers

Just Retirement, the specialist provider of enhanced annuities and equity release, has taken on two financial services apprentices.

Sam Freeman and Ayesha Williams (pictured), who attended schools close to Just Retirement’s base in Reigate, Surrey, have joined the insurer to combine on the job experience with training towards formal industry qualifications.

It is the first time the company has recruited school leavers directly and it says it is hoping the experience will enable it to expand its apprenticeship scheme into new disciplines within the business.

Freeman and Williams are both working in full-time customer services roles with half a day given over each week to studying towards a Level 2 Certificate in Financial Services at Bromley College.
