HCA International Limited has appointed Charlotte Espie as chief executive officer of The Princess Grace Hospital.

Espie joins The Princess Grace Hospital, located in Marylebone, central London, from BMI, the largest private hospital group in the UK, where she has been northern regional director for three years. Prior to that she worked for Bupa Hospitals (now Spire) for seven years in various roles.

Espie will take up her new role in June, succeeding Sue Smith, who has been CEO of the Princess Grace Hospital for 14 years and who is leaving to set up a healthcare consultancy.
